Medborgerskabsprøven, the test for permanent residence, has 25 multiple-choice questions in Danish, and you have 30 minutes. This free practice test works the same way, with our own questions written from the official study material, so you can find out if you would pass and what to read again.
In short
- Like the real test: 25 questions with two or three answers, 30 minutes, no aids.
- The questions: from the official study material, Læremateriale til Medborgerskabsprøven – demokrati og hverdagsliv i Danmark (the August 2026 edition with 26 fact sheets, used for the tests in winter 2026 and summer 2027).
- To pass: at least 20 of the 25 right. The practice test tells you if you would pass.
- Each test is new: the questions are picked from all 26 fact sheets, the ones you have had least first.
How the practice test works
Sign up for free, and the test starts behind your login, so your answers are saved as you go and you can take a break. When you hand in, you see your score, whether you would pass, and every question you missed with a hint and the page in the study material where the answer is.
Our questions are our own. The state publishes the old tests with answers on its website, and they are worth doing too, but it is the study material you need to know.
How to prepare
- Read one or two fact sheets a day: they are short, and each one ends with the words to know.
- Take a practice test early: the result shows which fact sheets to read again.
- Medborgerskabsprøven is one of the supplementary requirements for permanent residence. See which Danish tests you need for residence and citizenship.
